Last year, a packaging engineer told me she’d spent four months chasing a mono-material flexible film solution. Endless emails. Sample requests that went nowhere. Then she walked into PACK EXPO, found three viable options in two hours, and had a pilot running within six weeks.
That’s the thing about trade shows. What takes months remotely can happen in days when you’re in the room with the right people.
2026 has a packed calendar with some amazing packaging trade shows. This guide covers each month by month, including dates, venues, tickets, speakers, and networking opportunities, so you can select the right events for your business.
Let’s dig in!
Note: The table highlights some of the top packaging trade shows in 2026. The blog explores more exciting events.
Date: February 3–5, 2026 Location: Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California
MD&M West is the West Coast’s largest manufacturing event, bringing together five sectors under one roof: MedTech, Automation, Design & Manufacturing, Plastics, and Packaging. It’s not a packaging-only show, but that’s what makes it useful. Packaging rarely exists in a vacuum. If your work involves automation, materials, sterilization, or regulatory compliance, you’ll find relevant suppliers across the floor.
The packaging sector specifically covers form-fill-seal systems, labeling, barcoding, protective packaging, flexible packaging, and blister packaging.
Exhibitors include Harpak-ULMA Packaging, All-Fill, Bell-Mark Sales, and ID Technology.
The 2026 edition will host 1,700+ exhibitors and 13,800+ attendees across 319,000 square feet of floor space. With a show this size, planning helps. The website offers a detailed floor map where you can browse exhibitors, booths, and product categories before you arrive.
If you’re a packaging engineer working on medical devices, consumer products, or pharmaceuticals, MD&M West lets you source across categories without having to hop between trade shows. You can walk from a labeling supplier to a robotics demo to a plastics booth in one trip.
The educational programming is solid, too. The FuturePack Forum covers sustainability and packaging tech. The IoPP Fundamentals of Medical Device Packaging Course offers hands-on sterile packaging training. And the Sustainable Manufacturing Conference runs two full days on waste reduction and smarter production.
The Expo Pass is free for qualified attendees during early bird registration, $50 at advance rates, and $199 on-site. Learn more on the official website.
Date: February 9–11, 2026 Location: AT&T Hotel & Conference Center, Austin, Texas
The Packaging Conference is a focused event built around PET packaging technology, sustainability, and market strategy. Running since 2008, it brings together CPGs, resin suppliers, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, and container and closure makers for three days of industry analysis and peer networking.
There’s an exhibit area where you can explore new technologies, meet potential partners, and investigate new business opportunities.
The 2026 agenda covers regulatory shifts like EPR and truth-in-recycling laws, rPET content challenges, PET circularity, and packaging performance under recycling pressures. Expect a senior crowd: 56% of attendees are director-level or above, and 81% are managers or higher.
If you work in PET packaging or sustainability strategy, this conference gets specific fast. Keynotes include David Feber from McKinsey on packaging industry dynamics, Sandrine Duquerroy-Delesalle from Crown Holdings on global sustainability, and a joint session from Colgate-Palmolive and Polyplastics on packaging innovation.
Networking is built into the format. Breakfasts, lunches, breaks, and a Monday evening reception are all included. The conference team can also help arrange private meeting rooms or make introductions with other attendees.
Standard registration costs $2,200. Group rates are available: $2,050 per person for 3–4 attendees, $2,000 for 5–9, and $1,900 for groups of 10 or more. An exhibitor package with a table and one registration runs $4,400. Learn more on The Packaging Conference website.

Sustainability in Packaging US (also called SUSTPACK) is a sustainable packaging expo, focused entirely on eco-friendly packaging strategy, circular economy, and regulatory compliance.
It brings together the full packaging value chain: brand owners, converters, raw materials suppliers, recyclers, retailers, government agencies, and NGOs.
The 2026 edition features 48 speakers and runs across three days. Day one offers pre-conference site tours to facilities like the LRS Exchange Material Recovery Facility and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, plus workshops on topics like EPR implementation and compostable packaging end-of-life. Days two and three cover the main conference sessions.
There’s also an exhibit hall where sponsors showcase their solutions. Current sponsors include Kuraray, LyondellBasell, Intertek, Plastic Ingenuity, RecycleMe, and BiOrigin Specialty Products.
The agenda tackles the issues sustainability teams are actually dealing with: EPR reporting across states, flexible packaging recyclability, Scope 3 emissions tracking, microplastics, AI in packaging design, and circular supply chain development. There’s also a panel with MRF operators explaining what’s actually recyclable versus what ends up in the landfill.
Speakers include representatives from PepsiCo, The LEGO Group, Starbucks, Berlin Packaging, Church & Dwight, Takeda, Mondelez, and the Flexible Packaging Association. The advisory board features sustainability directors from major CPGs, so the content reflects real operational challenges.
Networking happens throughout. The exhibit space hosts a welcome reception, and you can interact hands-on with exhibitor booths during breaks. After the event, you get access to the conference app and online platform for up to 90 days to continue connecting with attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
Delegate Pass (in-person): $1,850 (standard), $2,050 (final). On-Demand Pass (recordings and slides post-event): same pricing. Delegate Pass + Workshop Access: $2,199 (standard), $2,229 (final). Learn more on the Sustainability in Packaging US website.
